CD Design. IT'S VOTING TAIME.

We've had several great ideas for out highlights CD but the time has come to bring all of our ideas into a final and completed product. Below are samples of what you'll be voting on. You'll only get to vote once and you won't be able to change so think about it carefully! You have seven days. Below are the designs submitted for the poll.

Artemis/Officer 1BDI's collective booklet: FRONT COVER INSIDE SPREAD BACK COVER

MaxwellsDeamon's DESIGNS. He has quite a few but only one slot in the poll. If you want one of his designs to be selected, just vote him in general. Please do us a favor and be sure to check them all out!

Chibichibi's FRONT COVER Uncolored INSIDE and BACK COVER

The PhantomOtaku's COVER INSIDE

Shawni's COVER INSIDE

The PhantomOtaku's design is reverse of what it should be printed like. All the other designs should be folded down the middle and opened like a book.

Regardless of how rough or beautiful each of these designs may be, once chosen, they will be freshened up and redrawn to match the character designs Lee created awhile back.

Is there a way you can make it so you can't view the results until after the voting is complete? I feel like.. that may make people vote one way or other (I mean it might not, but, ya know~ just a thought)

As far as I know, there isn't a way to hide the votes. But, yes, hold off on voting. I was too lazy to get out of bed and lock the thread last night so be patient for a bit, please.

I extended the number of days by a couple and added Shawni's design, along with the other stuff you guys gave me while we were waiting. I unfortunately couldn't find a way to hide the results. Any other mods know if there's a way?

Also, if you voted already, you're gonna have to vote again ...

...We should totally release special editions of the soundtrack with all the different covers. >.> When Capcom actually gets our stuff.

But, not trying to be totally cynical and buzzkill-y, this whole "good-designs-will-not-be-used" has happened before, this is just the first time we've developed ideas so far to the point of emotional attachment. But that probably with happen again. It doesn't mean your art is bad, (heck, everyone's art so far is down right fantastic), and that doesn't mean it wasn't special.

...Feel free to totally ignore my super-depressing words up there. On the other hand, I think we need to slap down some scheduling for after we chose a design. Also, Maxwell, I approve of advertising. It would be bad if it just ended up with the admins and art team voting. This thread should go on the Announcements.

And finally, personal matters. I would be flattered, if the unlikely would happen and my design is chosen, if either Maxwell or Potaku let me use their inside design, as I think the more light-hearted design featured on theirs would complement my solemn cover.

And with the thoroughly conceited dialogue over, whatever happens will be for the epicness of the project and not much else. Here we go.

I really wish there weren't so many amazing ideas, I want to vote you all! Though that would effectively be the same as note voting at all... I did vote for one, but I wouldn't be disappointed if any of these won, they're all awesome for different reasons. Ooh, maybe we should have a collage! Or some sort of magic cover which is actually a slideshow of all of them somehow!

This thread should totally be moved to global announcements(the section that appears at the top of every forum). Does a magical purple-name want to take care of this?

Also, I love the idea of multiple runs with different covers. Here's the thing, though: money. Each 50-CD run is about 135 dollars shipped(or about $95 for a run of 25, or about $47 for a run of 10- yes, the price of each CD goes up when you produce less). As of now, the plan is to have a single run of 50 when we should be able to finance within the leadership team. Keep in mind that the 135 covers the cost of shipping the CD's to ONE place, so there's still the cost of shipping out those CD's to the various other places they will go(some to Pleady for delivery to Capcom, some to cast members, some to art team, etc). SO while I love the idea of multiple runs, I don't think we can realistically cover the bill for it.

Maybe once this initial run is done, we can get together a donation drive to have more runs, with the option of alternate covers. For now, let's focus on the presentation we want the people inside Capcom to see, since that's what this CD is being produced for
